Privacy Policy

KissaWala ("we", "us", "the app") is a Hindi audio-story application. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices. By using KissaWala you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Anonymous account identifier. The app signs you in anonymously (via Firebase Authentication) to save your listening progress. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number.
Listening progress. Which story/episode you last played and your position, so you can resume. Stored against your anonymous identifier.
Usage & diagnostics. App analytics and crash reports (via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) help us understand usage and fix bugs. This may include device type, OS version, app version, and in-app events. It is not used to personally identify you.
Push notification token. A device token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can notify you about new stories. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.

2. How we use information

To deliver audio stories and remember your progress.
To improve the app, measure performance, and fix crashes.
To send optional notifications about new content.

3. Advertising

The app may show advertisements in the future (via Google AdMob). When enabled, ad partners may collect advertising identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's policies. Ads are currently disabled; this section applies if and when ads are turned on.

4. Third-party services

We rely on these providers, each with their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Messaging, Remote Config)
Google AdMob (advertising — when enabled)
Cloudflare (media delivery and hosting)
Amazon Web Services (backend API hosting)

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers above to operate the app, or where required by law.

6. Data retention

Listening progress tied to your anonymous identifier is kept while you use the app. If you uninstall the app, your anonymous identifier is typically lost and progress cannot be recovered.

7. Children

KissaWala is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Some stories may be more suitable for older audiences; please use parental discretion.

8. Your choices

Turn off notifications in your device settings.
Limit ad personalization in your device's ad settings.
Uninstall the app to stop all data collection.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
